Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of service electricians
- Oversee, guide, and manage the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers and employees
- Efficiently coordinate and plan to ensure that the team provides consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables and products for multiple projects
- Ensure that workplace health and safety requirements are met
- Take responsibility for promoting environmental stewardship and a work culture focused on health and safety
- Work closely with the company's management team in a decision-support capacity
- Monitor the performance and progress of staff, motivate, organize and encourage teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met
- Establish clear and realistic direction of organizational goals and employee roles and responsibilities
- Maintain staff motivation and focus on goals and priorities
- Ensure that departmental goals match those of the organization and that resources are allocated to meet priorities
- Recognize and mitigate safety hazards on the job
- Work to create a hazard free, accident free environment
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering or related field is preferred or previous work as Licensed Electrician/Supervisor
- Capable of leading a team of up to 20 electricians
- Experience with Electrical / Power Systems such as UPS, Switchgear, Generators, PDU's (a MUST)
- Managing Projects for Electrical installation of Equipment for high profile projects is a plus
- Customer Service Driven
- Computer Savvy (Microsoft Suite, MS Project, etc.)
- Solid Communicator – excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and application of relevant safety requirements that apply to the specific work being done
- Observes rules and regulations to comply with personal and workplace safety standards
- Proven and successful track record of producing work that is highly accurate, demonstrates attention to detail and reflects well on the organization
- Personally committed to high quality work and encourages others to have similar standards
